WHAT IS CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a chemical compound found in hemp plants.​ CBD interacts with your dog's endocannabinoid system and is just one of over 100 cannabinoids being studied for their individual benefits.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is found in all mammals and is made of two types of receptors (CB1 & CB2). These ECS receptors collect available cannabinoids and use their properties to impact the body’s physiological processes affecting pain modulation, appetite, inflammation, and other immune system responses. CB1 receptors are primarily found in a dog’s brain and central nervous system. CB2 receptors are mostly in organs and cells associated with the immune system.

BENEFITS OF FULL-SPECTRUM

Many other cannabinoids are found in the hemp plant and each may offer its own benefits. Full-spectrum hemp oil, meaning hemp oil that contains all available cannabinoids, may provide benefits that no single cannabinoid can provide on its own. This is called the “entourage effect” and means that the benefits of each cannabinoid work together to provide a more effective experience. This is why full-spectrum CBD products are recommended over isolates which don’t include additional beneficial terpenes.

EXTRACTION

In addition to clean farming practices, our hemp undergoes an extraction process that is unique in the industry. Cold CO2 Extraction uses lower processing temperatures and pressure, which allows us to be more selective when extracting choice cannabinoids and terpenes.

Another unique benefit of this process is that no solvents are used when extracting the oil, which leads to an end product that is less processed. We believe that access to organic, human-grade, non-GMO pet products should be available to everyone who wants to give their pet the best.
